About Multiple Birth Resources

MBR specializes in educating and preparing expectant parents for pregnancy, delivery and life with more than one baby. Leslie Montgomery, the founder of MBR, is a long time registered labor & delivery nurse, as well as the mother of two sets of twins - 6 year olds and newborns.

In 1992, Leslie experienced a very difficult pregnancy with her first set of twins, including being hospitalized for 12 weeks before final delivery at 34 weeks. She quickly learned that prenatal education and nursing care is as important to the expectant mother, as well as the delivery experience itself.

Motivated to learn more, Leslie spent two years gathering and researching information on multiple gestation, proper nutrition, preterm labor, caring for multiples and the birthing experience. Leslie has since compliled this information into a comprehensive training class.

Since 1994, Leslie has taught more than 500 couples how to proactively prepare for the multiple pregnancy experience. MBR also provides up-to-date articles on a variety of topics relating to all aspects of parenting in the Article Updates page on this web site.

Recently, MBR has consolidated its training course into a comprehensive two-part video program. MBR will continue its educational pursuit with future educational programs in video and DVD formats.

MBR also publishes and provides up-to-date articles and other valuable resources on a variety of topics relating to all aspects of the multiple pregnancy and parenting to expectant parents, hospital educators, OB/GYNs, insurance companies and others.
